As a security systems integrator, Infynia is committed to the security of its customers. We therefore make it our duty to ensure the protection of the personal information we collect in the course of our activities.

1. Types of personal information collected by Infynia

We collect and process various types of personal information from our customers or others in the course of our business, including:

  • photos and video recordings collected by our clients' systems;

2. Personal information collected by Infynia

We collect personal information from you generally in the course of providing our services.

We also collect publicly available information from public platforms, including our website.

3. Infynia's Use of Personal Information

We use the personal information collected to sell goods or render services required, to send out mailings (newsletters, commercial offers), for hiring and recruitment purposes or to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, as the case may be.

We may also use personal information for other purposes that are identified at the time of collection.

4. Disclosure of Personal Information by Infynia

Except as described below, Infynia does not disclose, share or sell personal information for purposes other than those identified in this Policy except with the consent of the individual or as permitted by law.

Personal information collected by Infynia is not disclosed to anyone except Infynia's representatives, service providers or agents for whom the information is necessary to perform their duties or to carry out their contract or mandate. Examples include hosting services, data management services and market analysis.

In all cases, we ensure that these individuals are bound by written contractual agreements which include

  • Measures required to ensure the protection of personal information;
  • Commitments of confidentiality;
  • Commitments to the effect that the personal information communicated may only be used for the performance of the contract;
  • Commitments to destroy personal information;
  • An obligation to promptly notify Infynia of any breach or attempted breach of the obligations relating to the confidentiality of personal information.

We will use the personal information collected only to fulfill the primary purpose and applicable legitimate purpose for which it was collected or for purposes consistent with that primary purpose.

5. Retention of Personal Information by Infynia

We will retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes identified in this Privacy Policy and to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations. Thereafter, personal information is securely destroyed or anonymized.

Infynia or its third party service providers may store and process your personal information on servers or computers located outside of Canada. In addition, even if your personal information is held in Canada, Infynia's representatives or service providers may need to access or process your personal information from locations outside of Canada. Some of these locations outside of Canada may be subject to laws or standards relating to personal information that differ from those in effect in Quebec. As a result, in certain circumstances, your personal information may be disclosed to governmental or law enforcement agencies that would not otherwise have access to your personal information if it were maintained in Canada or if it were not accessible from a location outside Canada.

6. Protection of Personal Information by Infynia

Infynia has implemented measures to protect personal information in its custody with technical, administrative or physical safeguards that are reasonable in light of the sensitivity of the information, the purpose for which it is to be used, the amount, distribution and format of the information. The level of protection provided will therefore vary depending on the personal information.

We have taken steps to ensure that the only staff members with a duty of confidentiality who have access to your personal information are those who have a need to know or whose duties reasonably require such information.

However, despite these measures, no method of transmission over the Internet or means of electronic storage is completely secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit or provide to us, and you do so at your own risk. We also cannot guarantee that such information will not be accessed, obtained, disclosed, altered or destroyed as a result of a breach of our physical, technical or security safeguards.

7. Your Rights Regarding Your Personal Information

You may access and notify us to update the personal information you have provided to us, and request to amend or delete certain information collected, by sending an e-mail to vieprivee@infynia.com or by responding to messages sent to you as a result of your subscription to the Infynia mailing list.

Similarly, you may request to be removed from an Infynia mailing list subscription.

8. Recording of telephone calls

All external calls (incoming and outgoing) are recorded in order to ensure the continuous improvement of the quality of our services. If you do not wish your call to be recorded, we invite you to contact us by email or to come in person to our offices.

9. Our website

We use Google Analytics software to collect information about how our website is used by visitors. This information allows us to ensure that our website meets the expectations of our visitors and to make changes if necessary.

For example, Google Analytics software collects the following information:

  • Which pages of our website you visit and how long you spend on them;
  • How you get to our website;
  • The links you click on on our website;
  • Your demographics and searches;
  • How often you visit our pages.
