The mission entrusted to us by Énergir’s management

This major raw materials supplier in the energy industry with a large number of distribution centers was eager to increase the level of security on its outer perimeters.

Our challenge was to protect outdoor areas from intrusions without generating a high number of false alarms at the operations center. The technology needed to be flexible, adapt to varying climatic conditions and provide the ability to make detection adjustments for every square foot that was considered critical, regardless of the weather.

Solutions implemented to meet the client’s needs

Based on the recommendations of an engineering firm, we deployed a solution consisting of thermal imaging cameras. Axis cameras offered the required features to meet the climatic and industry requirements.

Genetec‘s KiwiSecurity intrusion detection solution was chosen for video. This solution enables automatic display of the detection camera in the Genetec Omnicast software and an automatic display of the nearest mobile camera with pre-positioning on the intruder in Kantech (access control software).

Results obtained from the perimeter security system implementation

The deployed solution provides maximum security against perimeter intrusions and generates alarms housed at the operation center.

Robust algorithms ensure reliable analysis results in any weather conditions. Only relevant events are extracted.
